The SF2 series VFDs can be used in outdoor locations, but the temperature should not be too high, otherwise the VFD will be derating. If the VFDs operated in the environments with heavy wind and sand, the intake filters of the VFDs should be regularly replaced and cleaned to prevent heat dissipation failures caused by the filter blockage.
